You may open an account directly with Firsthand by mail. You may also open an account through a brokerage firm; brokerage firms tend to have lower minimums than those required to open an account directly. To open a Firsthand Funds account by mail, you first need to download and complete an account application. Firsthand offers several types of accounts, including regular fund accounts, Education Savings Accounts, IRA accounts, and money market accounts. Visit our applications page to find the type of account application you're looking for. All of our applications are in PDF format, which means you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer in order to open them. Where available, you may download and complete applications online. Simply click on the online version of the application, which will open just like a standard PDF file. The difference is you may use your keyboard to fill out the application. However, for security reasons, the applications must still be printed, signed, and mailed to the address above.
