National Wildlife Federation® (NWF) is America's conservation organization, inspiring Americans to protect wildlife for our children's future. NWF unites individuals from diverse backgrounds through a grassroots network of 4 million members, supporters and volunteers. NWF programs educate and inspire people from all walks of life to conserve wildlife and wildlife habitat. National Wildlife Federation® publishes four award-winning magazines for adults and children including, National Wildlife®, Ranger Rick®, Your Big Backyard®, and Wild Animal Baby®.
NWF focuses its conservation work in three major areas that will have the biggest impact on the future of America's wildlife:
Confronting global warming and seeking solutions to this major threat to the nation's wildlife;
Protecting and restoring wildlife habitat, especially habitats that provide a home for threatened and endangered species such as Florida panthers, grizzly bears, orcas, bald eagles and wolves; and
Connecting people to nature so they gain an appreciation and respect for the natural world and develop a conservation ethic that will assure a world of wildlife and wild places for the future.
